Shetland Pony Grand National

We visited the Canwell Show on its centenary this morning. It's a traditional country show with various classes for sheep, cattle and horses as well as some other entertainment. This included the Shetland Pony Grand National  which we've seen at various events in the past. It really is amazing to see these young children bombing around the course on their ponies.

A thoroughly enjoyable few hours, watching events and going around the stalls. We'd have stayed longer but we had an evening out with friends to look forward to in Lichfield. We really hadn't realised how vibrant the city is in the evening. It's definitely got a very thriving night time economy. A really enjoyable day.
