in this heat? I hear you say!

We did it :)

Most of us only managed to make one book and not the normal two due to the heat.  

Paint primed canvas sheet x 2 and let them dry in the sun if time (if not use hairdryer)

Then learn about pattern and play with patterns

And back to the hard work of constructing the book with template to help.  My back was killing me by the end...

And I still had to sew it, but I've managed it :)

You can see the front from the thumbnail, the back, and the stitched side - that was the hard bit with hands swollen from the heat, and just about every joint in my body affected.  

The extra  is of the two printed canvas sheets I decorated (for the colour).

Glad to drive home (in a boiling hot car first :() and sit indoors in the very cool lounge and ever so thankful I am working from home tomorrow :)
 
Might not even watch Sewing Bee later as too tired.  Will watch it on catch up if not.
