Our visitors enjoyed another glorious day so we went to the gardens at Amisfield which are very colourful thanks to the work of the volunteers who have rescued it from dereliction over the past few years. It was encouraging to see it well used by several groups this morning. We then went on to Drift which is made from six shipping containers joined together and has earned a reputation for good quality food. The cafe was busy so we ate our bacon rolls at a picnic table outside overlooking the sea and the views towards the Bass Rock and the beach far below where it is just possible to see some people walking on the sand.
