Birthday boy

Smithers has had a lovely birthday. He’s now caught up with me, so we’ll be the same age for the next seven months. 

He’s had quite a few cards, and a visit from an old friend. We’ve had FaceTimes with our middle son and his family in Poland, and our eldest son and his wife in Hampshire. The Traveller and his girlfriend have made a fuss of him and are sharing supper with us this evening.

I even managed to salvage some of the constituents of the birthday card design that I abandoned after a couple of days, and have used them to decorate his requested lemon cake/birthday cake. 

Oh, and he loved the revised card design I made for him, and keeps picking it up to look at it, so that’s made me feel better.
