Blackberry time

The recent hot weather has brought the blackberries to a state of perfect ripeness.
During our walk at Helsington Barrows we collected four pounds in just a few minutes of picking. And then many minutes searching for a lost Bonnie! We think she got distracted by a deer perhaps, just when we were busy looking at a Dingy Skipper butterfly.
Anyway she turned up eventually, looking very scared and panicked.
We treated ourselves to a glass of wine in the arbour when we got home!
