Harvest time

This morning we went for a drive to see if we could order a garden shed to replace the one that was very old and didn’t survive one of the recent storms. We ordered one to arrive in 6 weeks to give me time to prepare the site and lay some slabs   - one of our older grandsons will be engaged to help.

It was another beautiful warm day and combines were busy including this one in the field next to the sheds so I couldn’t resist a blip shot.

The forecast was for thunderstorms mid afternoon and just as predicted the sky went dark , the  thunder rumbled  and then the heavens opened first with large hailstones and then torrential rain which lasted for about 2 hours along with constant thunder and lightning. There was quite a lot of local flooding but at least I was able to abandon my plans to water the garden this evening.
