In The Jungle

Momma and I slept in this morning. PT was grueling yesterday so my right leg needed a little longer to recuperate. Hubby went for a hair cut and then took our trash and recycling to the convenience center. We had breakfast while he was gone. I also fed the birds. My front garden has become its annual jungle of vines and tall green plants. Since I cannot leave Momma alone, I am unable to keep it controlled. Hubby agreed to dig up the invasive poke bush and wild grape vine and stake the tall asters that have taken over my garden path. We had a late lunch and he mowed the lawn while I cleaned. I did a load of laundry while he worked on a few financial reconciliations. My mother’s Godson called. They were in the area and wanted to visit. I love it when Momma has company. Of course, she has forgotten that they have ever visited and went on about how had they found her. They understand the situation and let her talk with no correction of inaccuracies. We had a storm with heavy rain so their visit lasted longer than they had anticipated. They’d already had a large lunch at a friend’s funeral repast so they passed on my offer of refreshments. After they left, it was time for Momma’s shower before 7:00 pm Mass. We will probably have a bit of dessert when we get back and read for a while. Wishing you a special treat of your choice. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “I LIKE MY GARDEN CAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF MYSELF: GROWING, CHANGING
AND A LITTLE WILD AND CRAZY” - Jaclyn Renee
