Church Garden
Momma slept in so I enjoyed my breakfast on the porch. I chatted with three grands via text. How I cherish our visits and conversations. Soon after Momma finished a hearty breakfast, it was time to leave for my eye appointment. Hubby dropped me at the eye doc’s office, then he and my mother went to the base pharmacy to pick up our meds. While he and Momma waited for me, hubby bought them a couple chocolate milkshakes. The doc said my distance eyesight has improved and as normal, my close up has worsened. He also said we all have mites in our eyes. He suggested I use a daily treatment for 6 weeks to minimize the ones I have. I have ordered a highly rated brand to try. First time in 74 years I have been made aware of eye mites. He saw cataracts but apparently they are minimal. I think this visit wraps up all of my annual medical checks. Thank goodness! We went to lunch but Momma was not hungry; she finished her shake and enjoyed a cup of coffee. I picked up a few groceries and we stopped by our church so I could get my blip. I noticed these colorful flowers when we went to Mass last night. The lady who maintains this garden lost her husband yesterday. He was a Knight in our parish. I worked in the building next door to his and his wife’s office for 20 years. I think Momma was car sick because she felt nauseous when we got home. She is napping. Jamie brought over a nice chicken, rise and peas casserole that Renee made to give me a cooking break. Hubby is taking Jamie to pick up his car that’s in the shop for maintenance. We will begin another weekend with a carefree evening. Hope yours is the same. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting.
