Lofos vine

An annual vine I have in one of the planters on my front doorstep. The only problem is, it is growing thru the railing and I don't always notice the flowers until I am down on the ground.

The Susie Lake fire is still burning but it has been contained. The businesses have been allowed to reopen. There is still an air quality advisory in effect. Now there is an even bigger fire in western Nova Scotia, it covers over 1000 hectares at the last report. It is out of control and homes have been evacuated. I have been watching the reports on this one as my brother-in-law lives not far from the evacuated area.

We are supposed to get some showers tonight, but not enough to do any good. Hopefully there will not be any lightning with them.

The heat wave has ended here, and it was comfortable working outside today. The days are definitely getting shorter.
