St Peters Hosoital , Maldon. Took dad to catheter clinic on another beauty of a day. I had a wander around , it’s falling down round the back but still looks grand at the front . It used to have a fab low risk midwifery unit , with really high rates of normal birth, excellent postnatal care and very happy mums and babies. And midwives ( there was a waiting list of midwives who wanted to work there). All that’s left of maternity is an antenatal clinic with a sign on the door saying ‘we are open ‘ , you’d be forgiven for wondering!
