Attila

Dave's start not too early this week, sparrows had ceased farting.  Went up town in the afternoon to catch Attila the Stockbroker's show at Bannermans - excellent, as ever. Political of course but also very personal - he ranges over his mum's Alzheimer's, his own bladder cancer ('Tenaman'!), etc. He was very pleased that someone had got him a ticket to the Hibs v Partizan match tonight and improvised a chorus of 'Tito was a punk rocker'!

As I was on the 35 on its way to town I was surprised by the hordes of Leith Acadamy schoolkids boarding it at the foot of Easter Road. I've lived here this many years but I don't know if I'll ever get used to the school hols timetable in Scotland. Returning while the festival is still in full swing seems....wrong, somehow!
