Shangrila

I noticed this sign from the bus stop across the street, but could only read 'Services'. Seemed an odd thing for the Tibetan Buddhists to be advertising. When I got back I looked more closely - ah, Shangrila Masonry! I'd noticed a gentleman of distinctly Tibetan appearance quietly working at repointing the masonry on the side of the building over the last couple of weeks.

I remembered that Red had taken a classic shot of the building - you can read about its history as a bank in the comments. Think it was subsequently the Portuguese consulate for a while.
