Prizegiving

The tournament finals took place first thing in the morning and were followed by the prizegiving and aperos. There were cups and sports clothes and other gifts for the winners and runners up of all the categories. The prizes were given out by the president Etiennette and the younger members of the committee. In the foreground is the doyenne of the club, 89 years old in a few days time. She was ranked fourth in France in her youth and was several times French champion in the over 50s category. She was world champion of the over 70s. She is a lovely lady and is often at the club supporting and helping out. When living in Morocco, she was even invited to play mixed doubles with King Hassan II.
