Posing (Day 3753)

I woke up as my beautiful wife got herself organised and headed off to catch the ferry at stupid o'clock this morning, and unable to get back to sleep, got myself up and organised for the day. The early start meant I was at work by 730. One of the best things about working in an empty house is being able to start whenever I like in the morning.
Today's job was getting the shower tray fitted. Having "dry" fitted it yesterday I knew the sloping floor meant it needed to be bedded on a mortar mix. I always find it tricky to get the bed just right and I often fit and remove the tray multiple times before I am happy with it. Today it went in perfectly first time. There wasn't a lot more I could do today until the mortar had set, so I cleared all my stuff out of the bathroom and had a really good tidy which all took the best part of an hour.
I headed to town and got some stuff I need for Monday, then back home to get Sigyn out for a wander at Wasdale.
After lunch I headed to Rendall to pick up a couple of bales of hay, then along to the horses to drop off the trailer and get the chores done. I always like to spend a bit of time with the boys after the chores are done, and they are used to the routine - the quad bike gets put away, then I wander over to them with apples. Robin is usually first to the fence, but today I watched as he purposefully marched to the opposite end of the field. He had spotted people on the footpath and noticed they had stopped to eat apples on the bench that backs onto the field. Unsurprisingly he managed to charm them into giving him their apples (extra).
