Peas or Beans Dearie

A long long time ago, (in a galaxy far far away) when I was first a student, I stayed in catered halls.  Faraday Hall - very appropriate for an engineer! 

At the evening meal the 'dinner ladies' who looked after us well, would offer a choice of "peas or beans dearie?" whenever I see either of them on a menu I am transported right back there :-) 

We have returned from our son's place in Leeds to find our wonderful neighbours have watered our gardens for us while we have been away and consequently - the bean plants have been in overdrive.  Gill has been around offering the excess away and frozen the rest. 

My blip is the flower to pod stages of what remains on the plants - something has gone astray with the sizing but it will have to do for now!
