Grain (but not the photographic variety)

Today involved the sad task of removing some small box trees which have been killed off by box tree caterpillars. Gill had several making a hedge around a sun dial pillar and our neighbour had a larger one as a corner marker. Very sad, although I did get the chain saw out for the bigger one. They made two and a half green bin fulls!

On a more positive note, I have been looking for a piece of wood to use in our son’s lounge to help with moving a suspended lamp without having to sort out the ceiling. This piece with its attractive grain might do, planed sanded and sealed. We will see what the thinks.
