Hurdles

Vikram went over to a lunch near Great Dixter and rushed over there to pick up hurdles that he’d bought on line.  We have four already and tried to buy some inferior ones on line that arrived broken. I use them to block a steep slope that I’m terrified guests of any age will fall down and land on their heads onto the patio. 

He sent me progress reports all day and made me wish I’d gone too, just to visit Great Dixter again, the cathedral of gardens.  

In the evening we had a fine dinner with Parky and Vicky in Petersfield’s Restaurant 6.  It looks nothing from the outside but the food is good, better on a winter evening though.
