To avoid the heat, Hetty and I were out before 7am. Again, I took lots of photos with my upcoming art course in mind.

This particular photo was taken soon after 8am. I think, if I came out just a bit earlier, the sun would line up with the top of the locks.

It was very hot today. Annoying really because it puts you off getting on with outdoor jobs.

I spent time making space for the plants Louisa gave me but had to give up after about an hour because it was just too hot.

The lawn audibly makes a crunching sound underfoot.

And Clive spent time prepping the new patio area outside the sun lounge - until he could bear the sun no more.

This evening, Natalie, Tessa and I went out for dinner and music. It felt like a Mediterranean holiday. Gorgeous evening.

I've had three glass of wine and I know I'll regret it come the morning!
