Get Lost

Happy anniversary to us! Both five and ten years. So obviously we had something special lined up. That’s right – All Bar One do five sharing plates for £35. Though we had to have an extra one of fries. Then across the road to meet up with young F to see Lost Lear at the Traverse. Standing outside we three quickly read a synopsis of the original Lear. I know, I know, we ought to know that, I’m sure. And I’m glad we did. A terrific show with superb staging and an introduction which left you slightly baffled but then it slowly revealed itself. Of course, it being Edinburgh, and festival time, there were always going to be a couple of people doing full on performative laughter just to irritate the whatsit out of me. Project that laughter! Let’s get that practised in front of your mirror. No, no, let’s get those sunglasses perched just so on top of your head. H o h oho  ho!
