Fur

I didn’t need to look far for my subject today! Honey had gone out on the balcony and retreated to one of the garden chairs under the table to be in as much shade as possible! So this is where I took all my photos just now.

British Shorthair cats’ fur is described as dense and plush, with a distinctive crisp texture that breaks over the cat’s body as it moves. You can
see this phenomenon on the upper left and lower right images where the thick fur seems to separate.

The soft and velvety fur is very ‘strokable’ and inviting to the touch. The British Shorthair are cats are often likened to ‘teddy bears’ due to their round faces, plump cheeks, round eyes, combined with prominent whisker pads and plush coats!

I brush Honey’s fur very regularly to help with the moulting and to keep it in good condition. She changes positions several times so not a part of her is missed!

Another hot day with rather high humidity and I did my marketing early! The prolonged heatwave is supposed to break tomorrow.
