All because the lady loves...
...her dog. Today's photo was taken at 08.20, when Rufus and I had already been out walking for 45 minutes, my having made the supreme effort to get up at 7.15 and out by 7.45 so that he (and I ) could enjoy a good walk along the sea front before it got tooooooo hot. It was worth it to see him almost skip from bush to bush 'reading the news' (as Erin's Dad calls it when a woofer sniffs everything in its path). Rufus even had a brief attack of the zoomies so I was rewarded for my sleep sacrifice and my halo was ultra shiny as we walked home just before 9am.
I had intended to do several things today, but before I finished my first coffee, the tilers unexpectedly showed up to do renovate the final outdoor tiled floor area of the villa - the bedroom balcony. So I had to not just stay home, but stay in a closed room with Rufus, as back in June the woofer took a very strong dislike to one of the men who is now terrified of him. One glance between them this morning and I knew nothing had changed.
Confined to quarters, other than some household chores, I spent much of the day working on my novella and had, at different times, several ideas which seem to develop the plot so I am satisfied. By 6pm I was ready for a swim - well, dip really - in the pool and by 8pm I was at Sahara restaurant with Claire, Vaughan and Skyla for Friday fish and chips. We haven't seen each other for ages, so it was a great night of catch up news and chat, so much so that it was midnight when Rufus and I got home.
