Sunflowers at Schiphol

The only photo I took today when I was dropped off at Schiphol airport this morning. The huge planters are filled with sunflowers which should be an amazing display when all the flowers bloom…it would have been nice to see them. 

All my travel arrangements went to plan…flight to LHR T5 ..tube to  Bus station at T2/3  and then the SL7 bus to Teddington. Both the airports are so big that I did over 7,000 steps just going to the gate at Schiphol and from plane to bus station at Heathrow!

So much cooler at home and was delighted to see that my garden had been well watered by my friend who lives quite close. Very grateful to her.

Went to do a bit of shopping and noticed two things which seem to be absent in the parts of Holland we were in…potholes etc in the roads - all the roads there were so smooth both the dual carriageways and the smaller village roads….and clean pavements..no litter or chewing gum etc! However there were more smokers standing outside shops etc and lots of workers outside the airport smoking too.

Feeling weary so going to catch up on some recorded TV programmes and go to bed early.
