Bessie…

This morning I went to my daughter’s house to check on her cat as she is away on holiday and the neighbours who have been feeding her and watering the garden are now away too.

She usually comes to the door but as she did not I went to the top floor and I was pleased to find she was there.

Later I went  to the allotment and with my allotment partner we picked so many plums. We are now giving them away to anyone who wants them as neither of us want to make jam. I shall be stewing a lot this evening and freezing some.
On the way out another friend gave us some figs as she has more than usual and we were able to give her some plums. A nice temperature today and it was nice to sit in the sun to have coffee and homemade cake at the allotment cafe. This is staffed by volunteers and each week a few people make a nice cake. All proceeds go to the allotment funds.

Just about to go and see another friend who has a lovely garden..no lawn, just gravel and lots of plants …I’m hoping it has not suffered too much in the heat.
