Langwathby Station

We had a lovely evening with our friends near Penrith.  Our journey there was long and tedious and we arrived a couple of hours late due to the heavy traffic on a Friday night in the school holidays.  A very stiff G&T fortified me.

Today G held a special yoga class to raise funds for Higham Hall - a local residential adult education establishment near Cockermouth.  It was a really good morning, well attended  and we all enjoyed a bring and share lunch after the yoga.

I met up with Santana at Langwathby station on his return from Carlisle.  It's on the Settle to Carlisle line.

We had a drink at the pub in the village and then drove home through the lakes on a beautifully sunny and warm evening.
