Bye bye

Moving day.  Kyro and my last walk round the neighbourhood before the last packing and loading

We made good time reaching Sheringham before midday.  However we were still waiting for the phone call from our solicitor as the solicitor's cashier for the bottom of the chain hadn't turned until mid-morning then lunch delayed matters further.  So we couldn't get the keys until two cashier from different solicitors had returned from lunch and done the necessary.  I'd fed the hound immediately on arrival and then we spent two hours on the prom in the shade eating our lunch with a hot hound.

At the same time the removal company were also waiting to unload and waiting for our call.  All right up to the wire.

The seller, Kate met us with the keys as they are currently still living in Sheringham.  This was very kind as the estate agent is in Fakenham an extra trek away.  Kate has been extremely considerate leaving typed notes on where the water stopcock is, gas and electricity meters location, bin collection and more information.

We're relying on phone data at present as we're not broadband connected yet.

The removal company have been superb.  They unloaded and the foreman and another worker were returning on Friday with the rest of our belongings.

Retired early.  Absolutely shattered.

Woke in the early hours and went downstairs and into the garden.  It was so peaceful.  No roaring A14 or cars and motorbikes hurtling full throttle down the road.
