I went to a ‘fabric swap’ morning! It was being run by one of the market traders, and she invited me to attend. I am pleased I did, as someone had donated several lengths of Thai shot silk, beautiful, lustrous, heavy weight. No one else seemed interested so Lisa and I divided it up between us. When I have finished admiring it and playing with it in the light, I will consider some effective uses and f it. I think it would make lovely simple tunics, or loose jackets. Rob liked it and said he wouldn’t like a new waistcoat!
It was another lovely warm day, and Rob started on the annual mowing of the wildflowers meadows, while I had a check of the beehives. They are ready for their autumn feed now, so more expense and very little income this year. But they have done a very good job pollinating the apple trees!
