Green-veined white ( Pieris napi )
I had intended to make today's blip one of the flowers from the Lodge's wildflower meadow. While going round taking shots I saw this Green-veined white. So I too a few shots. I don't think I have ever blipped a a G-v W before so it had to be the blip. I did also have a shot of one of the flowers! The butterfly is on wild marjoram.
Green-veined whites are widespread throughout Britain. They do however favour damp habitats so what their views on this summer are we can only conjecture.
