Looking out to Rossbrin
A murky day, blowy as well with a slight mizzle, no heatwave here. We went off to brunch with Finola and four other friends and had a good old catch up. Driving home, we past this evocative view - the distant stack is all that remains of Rossbrin Castle home to Fineen O Mahony, the scholar prince. During the 15C it was regarded as the greatest centre of learning in Europe, renowned for its massive library! Hard to imagine today when every storm seems to knock another bit off it.
I think the wildflowers in the foreground are ragwort but I'm not 100% certain - advice please.
