Quirky Abstract
artwork from my art workshop today (apologies not the best picture, I always seem to be shaky when I'm tired), better on black background I think :)
This was a new technique for me, and using 'inktense' pencil, which I haven't used before. I have the blocks, but they break very easily. Will have to try using them again now!
I have another piece to finish and will blip it when its done :)
Lovely to be at Micklems Farm again, for the last class for a while for me as I have a few big expenses coming up at the moment.
As the class was beginning, I realised I'd left my mobile in the car, so I quickly went out to get it. I met J as I was going to the car who'd explained in the 'meet and greet' that she'd lost her beautiful white cat, three weeks ago and was really struggling.
It was so good for her to be with us today, especially as there are cats around the workshops.
I chatted with her a bit as we walked back in and told her the advice I had seen on a local 'cat' page regarding missing cats. Also recommended letting her local 'cat' page and vets know!
We exchanged no's later in the day, but I wasn't expecting to hear from her. Anyway, she's just messaged to say her cat has returned thankfully :):) I am made up for her!
Apart from J, I also met S, and A who I've done classes with before, plus C. Also on the course was an artist I met a few months ago, when I visited an exhibition; I loved her sketchbooks at the time. It was great to chat with them all :)
In other news, this farm is one where they grow beautiful flowers, and as I was leaving tonight, the owner gave me some gorgeous orange Dahlias (Extras 1 and 2) and said thank you so much for supporting our workshops so much! How lovely is that :)
Also in extras is the beautiful sunset tonight :)
Anyway its been a long day, and I'm back at work tomorrow, thankfully working from home though :)
I've backblipped yesterday if you want to take a look!
Time to get Charlie in and go to bed now I think :)
