It's the Weekend..

and there's lots of action  - not here on this island but all around it. 

The sailboat that moored in our back bay last night left this morning, (yay)  but the back bay has still been a pretty busy place, what with jet skiers zooming in and out and people trolling around the shoreline in search of fish. 

Things will quiet down again by late afternoon tomorrow ...when at least some of these vacationers will return home. Despite more folks-in-boats buzzing around, my day was still peaceful and relaxing.. and I did manage to have my daily swim at a time when the bay was boat-free.

Most of my activity today was in the morning. I was up early in time to watch the sunrise and for once there was a hint of colour...and a touch of really bright colour on the clouds that created some interesting reflections. (extra) The waterlilies were open for business, so that warranted a few shots...and after posting them closed yesterday, it gave them a chance to show off their better side. They really are so much more attractive when open! 

I spent a lot of time puttering with photos - my annual yearbook photo book is in need of work, - and with my reading, knitting and a little TV watching added in, the day was gone in no time. 

The weather forecast includes cooler temps and rain... We could sure use both.
