Printmakers Scotland Festival

"Fantastic success!" This was the enthusiastic summary given by Deb Wing, founder and chair of Printmakers Scotland, regarding the second annual Printmakers Festival held at Stirling University.
 
Such was the demand for a place at the Festival that 25 per cent of applicants had to be rejected through lack of space.

Festival Activities and Atmosphere
Throughout the venue, queues formed to try printmaking themselves  ( see extra), while sales were at a record high. ( Yes I did buy despite intentions not to because we are supposed to be downsizing).
 
The Appeal of Handmade Prints
What is the special attraction of prints? First , the work is instantly accessible,  it’s hand made  and most were under £400.
