Kite surfing

I decided to take a drive past Lawrencetown Beach this afternoon, a sunny but breezy day. It was ideal weather for the kite surfers. I pulled over to get a photo of the kites above the tree line, then pulled into the parking lot at the top of the hill so I could watch them for a little while. At one point there were 9 kites in the air. There were some windsurfers there too, but I was too far away to get good photos of them.

We have showers in the forecast for tonight, anywhere from 1 - 15 mm. And the showers end by 6 am.

The West Dalhousie fire is still out of control and it almost doubled in size today. It went from 1100 hectares yesterday to 1900 hectares today. The wind changed direction too which did not help. So far the smoke from it is not affecting Dartmouth, but it had spread as far as Windsor and Chester this afternoon.
