Still green

Slept until nearly 8 which is unusual for me.  Got ready quickly and went for a run with S before it got too hot.  We did the river loop again and I was a bit more consistent.  
Filled up the pond,  watered the plants and then had some lunch.  
Walked into town to buy a new salad spinner. Our first one,  bought when we finally had a kitchen cupboard big enough to store it, finally cracked so the water leaked from the bowl part. New ones are quite flashy but I couldn't bring myself to pay almost  £50 for such a simple item.  John Lewis basic model seems to do the job.  Stopped off at the Siren brewery for a drink before waking home.  The final trudge up the hill was very hot and my hip was complaining. 
Had a go at a quiz for book group while S and J watched football.  S was at a friend's house all day playing a complicated board game.  
Earlyish bedtime as I was dozing in front of the TV and only seemed to wake up for the violent bits in the series we're watching. 
The tomatoes are growing and I think that they've changed colour a bit.  Hoping that they do manage to ripen. The ones that have germinated from the compost are small plum types. These are moneymaker from a book group friend.
