Book group visitor
A dreadfull photo but this fox came into my friend's garden during our bookgroup meeting. I think it was having a good scratch at this point. Lovely to see.
It was a lovely warm evening and great opportunity to wind down after a busy week. We talked about Bob Mortimer's Hotel Avocado. Some of us had read both books and we seemed to have enjoyed it more. H complained that it was very difficult to follow on audible as he spoke too fast. She played us a sample.... she was listening at 1.5x! Perfect for work training videos but perhaps not novels.
We caught up on life events. Another parent in law lost, a successful relocation to Norfolk, A level results achieved and a uni place awaits, offers on a house so a new relationship can progress. We've known each other a long time.
Put the new bat detector in the garden while we chatted and picked up pipistrelles and, I think, a noctule. I need to go back and look at the recording.
