A peaceful scene in Northamptonshire countryside
Yesterday l went with my birdie group up to the delightfully named Summer Leys wildlife centre. This is centred around an old gravel pit now filled with water and home to all sorts of wildlife including a few long horned cattle and some sheep. There were not many birds to be seen as a lot had left for their winter homes and others had not arrived to winter over yet.
It was a pleasant day, a nice temperature of about 28 and engaging company.
