Timeless timepiece

This minimalist sculpture of a swan is in fact a sundial that has been a feature of our neighbourhood for over 40 years. 
Created by Elwyn Hawthorn and Dr Guy Hamilton, Swan Dial 71 was regarded as the “biggest sun dial in the world” in 1971 according to its plaque (see extra).
