The simple bare necessities

I am considering buying some soap leaves, partly for myself for trips, camping, etc, but some spares for homeless people I come into contact with, and those who have been washing themselves with liquid detergent because they have no money for soup. This can result in some skin problems….

It’s not always possible to advise people to go to a food hub/pantry for some free or cheap soap and toiletries, when there is no food hub near them ( many clients have no transport) and nothing fits around their work hours.

I was reading back over some old blips from 2016 and noted that there was a ‘Dickens challenge’ happening in February that year. Did I imagine that, nine and a half years later, living in Dickensian poverty would be back as a way of life for so many ?
