The only snaps I took today are in the extra. Other Mrs.BB had an ear unblocked this afternoon in Stockport and there was a local history book in the waiting room about Stockport's music scene in the 1960s.

On page 2 was a photo of a concert bill and I recognised one of the bands listed. The Meteors were from Hyde and I remember their late guitarist, James Warhurst, because my parents knew him & possibly some of the others. They never made the big time, possibly too young, I mean if you follow the link, they look like school kids. I recall James telling me on one gig they were the support band for a youthful Rolling Stones!

Further within was a pic of a magazine cover with Cilla centre stage. I grew up thinking Cilla Black was a just a TV presenter and it blew my mind when hearing her '60s music in my teens, what a voice!
