Late Bloomer

We have had a busy day. After showering, I immediately went to the garden to pick tomatoes in the drizzle. Why? My hair is naturally frizzy and I use many products to tame it. All for naught today. My sister, BIL and Sugar arrived as I was closing the gate. Our BIL had a few plumbing jobs in our area; my sister and Sugar decided to spend their day with us. Momma was still sleeping when I finished breakfast. My sister watched for her so I could prune my butterfly bushes, they needed it so badly. Hubby made Momma’s breakfast, gave her the meds and took her BP. I came in when it was time for her shower. My bushes and the patio look so much better. I found this lone azalea bloom on the bush by the gazebo. My sister took over with Momma after her hair wash so I could make slaw for lunch. Our BIL joined us for sloppy joes, slaw, chips and cake. Hubby and our BIL went grocery shopping for us. Then my BIL headed to Jamie’s to help Parker install a new pool pump. My real work began after they left. I made eight crab cakes plus put some of the meat away for soup. Then I divided the auction cakes into quarters and froze most of them. My sister suggested I freeze some of the chicken, peas and rice casserole into single serve portions for my mother’s lunches. Five meals in the freezer! I had to get off my aching heel for a bit. Dinner is almost all cooked, just need to decide on the green vegetable. Tomorrow promises to be easier. Wishing you a peaceful week. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “You were born to bloom, So what if it's a little late, Remember, it's the late bloomers That survives even when the season ends.” ~Saniya Akbar
