Minerva
A trip to Leeds today, arriving somewhat later than planned as the train was delayed due to a "last minute timetable alteration". First stop was the Apple shop, where one of the lovely technicians replaced the badly cracked screen protector on my phone.
Second stop was M&S to buy a few items for MrM, who detests shopping for clothes even more than I do.
Then the main reason for the trip: I met Tom for lunch. We ate at Laynes, new to both of us. The food was OK, but the venue was overcrowded and a bit too noisy for proper conversation. After we'd eaten we wandered round the shops for a while before catching out trains home. We passed the sculpture of Minerva on Briggate, one of the main pedestrianised shopping streets. She wears an owl mask, one of the symbols of the city of Leeds.
