Fly watching

Both Alfie and Lexi are mesmerised by flies. They watch them intensely and then hurl themselves about trying to catch them. They don't often succeed although they do have more luck with moths and spiders.

I managed to get out on the back green for a while in the afternoon before an utterly tedious committee meeting which put me in a bad mood for most of the rest of the evening. However, I was cheered up by the fact that Leeds United won their first match since being promoted to the Premier League, against Everton, due to a dodgy penalty, but it was nevertheless a win which is the important thing. My brothers are both Leeds supporters so I follow them to keep up, although I never watch them play, even on television.
