RED ADMIRAL

A quiet day today, just developing my photos from yesterday.  Some good ones but more not so good - I'd got my settings wrong - doh!!!!  Still there are enough to record a lovely day.

Just popped out and had a walk around.  Haven't seen many butterflies, apart from the cabbage white this year, so when I saw this Red Admiral feasting on a fallen apple I thought that has to be today's blip - so here you are.

Oh last night I woke up about 3.30 and looked out the bedroom window to see if I could see 4 planets lined up with the moon.  I grabbed my phone and just took a couple of shots, here is the best of them.

I couldn't see four but did see two, possibly three - Jupiter and Venus - these are the two brightest stars.  Mercury was too far down in the horizon and not visible from my room.  I also think that the tiny pin prick you can just make out between Venus and the Moon could be Saturn - but am not sure about that.
