Breakfast

…………………………………..with a view!

A surprisingly restful night once we’d sussed out the window shutters! A lovely breakfast on the terrace to start our day followed by a walk along the prom before we had to meet up with the rest of the group for today’s excursion. A trip along the lakeside on the trolley bus to Veytaux to visit the Chateau de Chillon. We had some free time before our guided tour so L and I wandered along the lakeside path with ice creams. We’d visited the castle several years ago but it was good to have the guided tour and hear some of the history. A steamboat trip from Veytaux around this end of the lake and back to Vevey this afternoon, then the trolley bus home. We’ve had this evening to ourselves so we had an early meal out and we’re now relaxing. An earlier start tomorrow for a trip to Chamonix on the Mont Blanc Express.
