A productive day
Leisurely packing today, in between dog walking, popping out for batteries (all the clocks in the house have stopped in our absence!)
JR, on the other hand, has been busy, although she only went to one gym session, and then busied herself all day. In between appointments at the nail place, the dentist, and the hairdresser, she popped into town. And packed.
Archie and I went for a longer walk in the afternoon. I was really thirsty, so we called in to McLaren’s on the Corner. Archie had to try out their pink scooter, of course. We then walked round Bruntsfield, past La Barantyne, the French patisserie, but not past Project Coffee, where there were spare tables. I had a huge scone & nice flat white.
As we walked past one shop, I happened to notice a nice selection of casual shoes, all on sale at £30… worth a look. At that price, I had to have a pair, though they are rather, er, LOUD. I think I’ll get used to them.
Back home, and I was delighted to find that the 100 Cricket was on! Women’s game first, then the men’s one. Brilliant.
Archie off to stay with Christine and Dougal tonight.
Taxi booked for 4am!!
PS. Notice the lovely flowers that Vicki left for us. They will go down with Archie to Christine’s tonight.
