Rainy Day

Momma slept in late today. Probably because she was up until midnight with us and our company. Parker and three of his lacrosse teammates stopped by for a visit. Jamie sent them over to get a slice of coconut cake. He was most likely asleep by the time it arrived. Parker put the Washington Commander’s football game on tv for Momma. She had those boys laughing all evening with some of her stories and comments. I was thrilled they wanted to spend the final hours of their last night of summer break with us. Back to today. Hubby visited with his cardiologist early this morning. She was so pleased with his recorded blood pressure readings over the last few weeks and his weight loss. She is having him discontinue four medications. Wow. It has rained or drizzled all day. I grabbed this shot from the front garden during my porch breakfast. I have generally been lazy other than helping Momma throughout the day. She has been needy though. Poor woman. I deep cleaned the kitchen counters and appliances after lunch. Hubby did the same to all the ceiling and exhaust fans yesterday. Jobs like that can get forgotten in the day to day busyness. Dinner is cooked but I may bake a few potatoes.
