Single Rose

I spent much of the day at dad's flat as the British Heart Foundation were coming to clear his stuff! It's not a place I have very fond memories of. For the last 9 years it's just been a place of worry, as he started to decline....

Before I left, the morning sun was casting a beautiful soft light on this rose. It's one of two we have inherited in the garden. It's not really a flower I know much about as I didn't have any at our previous house. But it seems to get on with growing without too much intervention from me. Just a bit of dead heading to encourage more flowers.
