I was off to Tranquille at 7 having had a bit of a sleep in. I am a bit pressed for time this morning as I need to be at the dentist midmorning and must find my way through all the traffic obstacles. 

The sunshine was glorious as I got my shot of Tranquille Farm and the wetlands pond. On closer inspection, the pond is as busy as ever while it is shrinking in size. I spotted several herons along the edge. Compared to the ducks, they look like they are on stilts. 

I drove to the end of the road to look at the osprey nest. It was empty but one osprey soared over the wetlands and one perched on a nearby power line. There was a lot of bird calls back and forth. I suspect the one on the line was testing his wings and just taking a rest. 

I got a shot of my mountains in the east before turning for home. We have some beautiful summer weather to look forward according to the forecast. 

My afternoon should be a quiet one with my feet up.
