That's the collective name that the cat has for strangers. Especially if they belong to the tradesmen variety. And most definitely if they carry power tools. 

She's nowhere to be seen during the day mind, when said power tools are being used.

She comes out after they've gone to take a contemptuous walk around the disruption they've unleashed on her environment.
