Serpents

Was very pleased to see the cormorant couple (I think we can call them that, they both seem to be adults) on the logs in the middle of the water when I was waiting for the 35 up town. But thought we'd have a change from the WoL. Up to the Lauriston Building to give them a pint of my finest.

I stand at the bus stop opposite, waiting for the 35 homewards, and gaze at this symbol which is by the main door of the Lauriston Building - surprisingly difficult to photograph without a white van intruding into the pic. I thought it might be called a Caduceus, but that's different - neither is it the Rod of Asclepius! Anyway, home to sit on the sofa for a while.
