Settling in and Guggenheim Day

We began the week by acclimatising to Bilbao, wandering through the city and getting a feel for the place. In the afternoon, I finally visited the Guggenheim Museum — something I’ve wanted to do for years. The titanium-clad architecture is every bit as dramatic in person as I’d imagined, and the exhibitions were genuinely impressive. A fair bit of the day was also spent trying to sort out tickets for the following day’s trip, but after a brief queue at the bus station, we were lucky enough to be directed straight to a window with no line.
